A recruiter contacted me about an opening. We had a 30-minute phone call, and then she mentioned trying to set up an in-person interview. I went to their office and met a few people in a conference room. The interview felt a bit awkward, and everyone asked the same questions. They should have either done a panel interview or prepared different questions. The questions were basic and focused on my previous job. They said they'd contact me the next business day, but I never heard back. The plan was a phone screen followed by an in-person interview. After the in-person part, I wouldn't have moved forward because they strangely avoided my questions about office culture, only saying 'I wear jeans to work every day.' I'm not sure if it was a mismatch, but I left feeling uninformed about the company.
