First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Online Business Systems.
Consultant
I went through a three-stage online interview process. Each interview felt very thorough and professional. The first one was with HR, where they asked about my background, current role, and future aspirations. It was a relaxed chat, and I was given ample time to talk about myself. Next, there was a technical interview that delved into my professional skills, with questions tailored to my resume and experience. I noted that Online seems to value teamwork, so understanding collaboration methods like Agile or Waterfall might be useful background knowledge. The final interview was with the Director of Technology Consulting Services. This seemed to be about assessing cultural fit, covering not just technical aspects but also how I handle challenges and work with colleagues.
- Can you describe your current role?
- What prompted your interest in Online, and why did you decide to apply?
- What are your salary expectations?
Consultant
There were four interviews in total. The first was with HR, who reached out after an employee referral. This was to understand my background, experience, and personality, and they explained the process. The second was a technical interview with someone with a similar background to assess competency for the role, requiring detailed discussion of past experience and how my skills could benefit the company. The third was with the director I would report to. It was more about personality and cultural fit, as technical competency was already established. They focus heavily on finding the "right fit." The fourth was the offer interview with HR and a Director/VP, where the offer details were explained and I could ask questions, with a timeframe to respond.
- How do you feel about the consulting model where you, as an analyst, are "sold" to clients?
Consultant
The interview process took a while and there were long gaps of silence in between. I ended up having twelve interviews with various people across the company. Everyone I met was really nice. However, I didn't get the impression they were very eager to hire me.
- Could you secure your initial client engagement?
