The selection process started with an initial phone contact, where general information was requested about my personal and professional background, as well as about the position I applied for. Then, I had a call with the department Manager. The second step took place at the office in Verona. The selection process was quite long in terms of timing, but it was always handled with extreme kindness and professionalism. Since I applied for a Junior position, the questions were mostly general and focused on my university path and my motivations for applying. During the on-site interview, there was also a short conversation in English.

Step 1: Initial call (pre-screening). Step 2: An interview to understand your aptitudes and which brand you could work for. Step 3: Technical test to be delivered in 2-3 days. Step 3 (in person): Interview with HR and the manager of the team that selected you, where the technical test is discussed. They call back very quickly if interested. Behavioral Technical

I took my resume directly to the store and was greeted nicely by the team. A few days later, I got a call to set up my first interview with the District Manager, which was in person. It was an introductory and motivational interview where they asked about my studies, past experiences, and why I applied. They also checked my interest in the Calzedonia brand and if I could work shifts, weekends, and during sales. A few days later, I had a second interview with another manager. This one was more technical and focused on how to handle sales or conflict situations, teamwork, personal goals, and stress management.

Behavioral Other

Had a first interview over the phone with HR which was pretty standard and went well. Then, I was invited for a second round at their office in Brussels. The questions during this second interview weren't really relevant to the job. It was a really long interview and the questions were super random, like 'what's your favorite dessert?', just to get a feel for my personality. The interviewer kept cutting me off with these random questions whenever I tried to talk about my experience and skills.

  • What is your favourite dessert?
  • What was the happiest day of your life?
