Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Onity Group.
Financial Analyst
First, they screened my resume to make sure I had a Master's degree. Then there was an HR round where they asked normal questions about my resume. After that, I had a manager round where we discussed career aspects, why I was interested in Ocwen, my experience with corporate activities, and my participation in college co-curricular activities. There was also an IQ test.
- Can you discuss the 2008 mortgage crisis?
Commercial Analyst
The interview process was a nightmare. The initial contact and interview went really well. The issue arose after the recruiter told me I had the job and they were working on the offer. She told me she would call me within 3 days with the offer. I spent the next month trying to pin down the recruiter to get some answers. I called her numbers and left voicemails, I emailed her, and finally I had to contact someone within the office to reach out to her to get her to call me back. She then told me after a whole month of agony that they were waiting for approval from upper management. She never bothered to contact me and let me know like she said she would. It was seriously frustrating!
- Tell me about a time you had to deal with an angry customer.
Financial Analyst
The interview went well, they asked me process and scenario-based questions. The first round was an aptitude test and technical round, followed by a final HR discussion. It was a nice experience, and the company seems good to work for and learn many things that will help build my career.
- Can you describe the Accounts Payable process cycle in detail?
