Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at OneTouch Direct.
Sales Representative
First, there was a phone interview. Then, a face-to-face interview followed, which included a role-play scenario. In this role-play, the interviewer pretended to be a customer interested in buying a phone, and I had to act as the sales representative, persuading them to buy the phone model I own. It was important to ask the customer questions to understand what phone would best suit them. When they tried to make excuses not to buy or wanted to end the call without a purchase, I had to rebut their objections.

Sales Representative
I applied for a B2B sales job at AT&T. The recruiter felt I was a bit too qualified and suggested I wait for the Recruiting Director. I had a good conversation with her for about an hour. A few days later, around Christmas, she contacted me and offered me a recruiter position for OTD.
- If you could do anything, why did you choose to become a recruiter?
Sales Representative
I got an email about a Verizon Supervisor position from a resume I had on Careerbuilder.com. I applied and they called me within days to talk about my sales experience. When I asked about the specific job I applied for, they said we could discuss that in the interview. I got there 20 minutes early but they started about 25 minutes late, like they scheduled multiple people at once. The interview was pretty casual, mostly just going over my past jobs. They asked about my sales background, and then I asked again about the job I applied for. The interviewer looked me up on the computer, and then the conversation shifted. They explained the job, asked a few more questions, and then gave me a tour. It seemed like a very structured call center setting. All in all, I felt the interview went okay.
- What is your greatest strength, according to your previous boss?
- What is your greatest weakness, according to your previous boss?
