Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at OneMain Financial.
Senior Manager
The recruiter was professional and knew a lot about the role and the business. They were upfront about compensation. They explained the whole process and when I could expect to hear back.
- Tell me about your long-term career goals.
Management Trainee
Had 3 interviews. First, a phone call. Second, I met with the branch manager I applied to, but at a different office about 45 minutes away. Then, a third interview with the district manager, another 45 minutes away. The DM called me the next day to say they'd call me the following day. The day after that, I got an email saying they regret to inform me, etc. The very next day, the same job position at the same branch was reposted online!
- What are your sales goals?
Assistant Manager
The interview process at One Main Financial was nice and the people were great. The questions were pretty basic and standard. It's easy to get the hang of, but they expect you to push additional products on top of loans, even when the interest rate is already quite high.
- Can you introduce yourself and share your background?
- Could you describe your experience in sales?
- How would you go about selling extra products to someone who is applying for a loan?
