We started with a one-way video interview on an AI platform. Then, there was a two-part performance task, which they said would take about 2 hours of work. After that, I had two more interviews: one with the CEO and another with a panel as part of the overall process.

I had one interview with two hiring managers, and then a final interview with team members and the VP. What's really messed up is how OneGoal does their reference checks. They require four references and contacted them all *before* my final interview, and I didn't even have an offer yet. It's totally fine if there's no offer, but it's just bizarre to contact four references before the final interview even happened. Super unprofessional and really goes against what you'd expect from an organization that claims to care about equity.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

It was a virtual, asynchronous interview using Spark Hire. I really liked this setup as a first step. I didn't get selected to move forward, but I loved that it was a video interview where you recorded your answers to questions. The Spark Hire platform had great support videos and FAQs. There were lots of chances to test and discard answers, then re-record them. The questions were clear, but I missed being able to ask clarifying questions to be sure I was answering what they wanted to know. Apparently, I wasn't what they were looking for since I didn't move on, but the process was easy to follow.

Technical Behavioral

The interview process started with a call with the hiring manager. If that went well, I received a take-home assessment which was pretty straightforward SQL. I had about a week to complete it. After that, if I passed the assessment, I was invited to a panel interview with five people. The interview itself wasn't too hard, but it seemed like they were more concerned with diversity than actual job qualifications. Honestly, I think they should prioritize hiring people who can actually do the work over meeting diversity quotas with less qualified candidates. I'd rather not work for a company that prioritizes DEI over getting the job done right, because it's tough for a company to succeed if they're always focused on DEI and aligning everyone with the company mission.
