First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at OneAmerica Financial.
Project Manager
I had two rounds of interviews. Both were panel interviews. They felt good, but I haven't heard back in six weeks, so I guess I was ghosted. I think they should at least send an email to let candidates know they aren't moving forward.
- What's your experience with a specific product?
Client Services Manager
I had an HR screening, then an interview with the team managers. The manager interview went well, but I ended up accepting another job offer. The HR person was at a conference and took two weeks to get back to me about a third interview. By then, I had already accepted another position.
- Could you answer some basic questions about retirement plan regulations?
- Can you share some soft skill examples?
Data Entry
The interview process was straightforward. Communication was good and the approach felt strategic. While management had some quirks, the staff were really supportive. Many long-term employees mentioned that they don't have enough work and their pay is low.
- Can you tell me about your data entry abilities?
- What about your aptitude for processing information?
Salesforce Manager
The interview process for the Salesforce Manager role was really disappointing. The recruiter who contacted me was going on vacation and didn't have anyone to cover. They did manage to schedule a panel interview though. During the panel, it felt like they just wanted to wrap things up quickly. This was a bummer because I had prepared by researching the company and showing how I understood the Salesforce Platform and their business objectives. I answered a bunch of questions thoroughly. It seemed like the interviewers were more concerned with their own stuff than actually evaluating me for the job, like they'd already made a decision. After the panel, I heard nothing back – no follow-up, no contact. It's really unprofessional to leave candidates hanging like that and can hurt your reputation. I was really let down by the whole experience. It felt like they didn't take hiring seriously, leaving a bad impression. I hope they'll be more thoughtful in the future so candidates feel their skills are properly assessed. Right now, I'd tell anyone looking to help a financial services client to skip this opportunity.
- Why were you drawn to this job and our company specifically?
- Tell us about your Salesforce background and what makes you a good fit for this role.
- Could you detail a recent Salesforce implementation project, covering your part, the difficulties, and how you overcame them?
