Test Engineer
The interview has five rounds: a cognitive test, a Hacker Rank coding test, a technical interview, a managerial round, and an HR round. It's totally a waste of time giving an interview for this company, and the compensation is less too.
- In a technical interview, they asked about hypothetical situations regarding dishonesty and trustworthiness.
- They also asked about scenarios involving pretending to have completed a job.
Test Engineer
I applied through Employee Referral, the interview process starts with a Telephonic call from HR which mainly includes questions related to your career, current job role & expectations, and a brief about yourself. Then I got a call for an Aptitude test which was followed by a personality test. If you cleared the aptitude test, you got called for the next round. After that, I appeared for a Technical round, it was focused on technical skills and had questions related to my skills and work-experience, and career. After that, there will be a final round for overall discussion about your past growth, expectations for future, and salary negotiation. So, overall interview process was to the point and straight forward & it analyzes applicant's aptitude, personality, technical skills, and negotiation phase. I am always getting time-to-time updates from HR throughout this process which is very helpful for you being an applicant that you got feedback about the interview process.
- The Aptitude test was challenging.
- Questions based on real-time work scenarios in the Technical round were difficult.
Test Engineer
So I got an email from the recruiter about an opening for an Automation Testing role, needing skills in TestComplete/QTP/Coded UI. I sent my updated resume back the same day. The next day, I called the recruiter to let them know I'd responded. Then the recruiter reviewed my resume and called me for the first telephonic round, asking general questions like 'Tell me about yourself', 'Why are you looking for a job change?', and 'CTC related questions'. After that, the recruiter seemed satisfied and emailed me a link for a written test on the same day. It was cool that they gave the same test links as the sample ones they shared! I took the written test the same day, which included a Cognitive aptitude section (50 questions in 22 minutes, no negative marking, needed 31 to pass, so had to be fast) and behavioral questions (no time limit, 28 pages with 5 questions each, all general behavioral). The cognitive part (verbal, simple math) was easy but tricky. The sample links were super helpful. I got a call the same day to schedule a face-to-face interview for the next day. On Day 3, I went to the office in Jayanagar, which was a really peaceful and nice environment. After reaching on time, I was called for a technical round that lasted about 30 minutes with two panelists. They asked for a brief intro about myself and my career. Both panelists were really cool and checked how deep my knowledge and approach were. They asked a lot of technical questions about Test Complete and then asked if I knew Coded UI. I had some knowledge and answered. It's important to be confident and show all your knowledge here because they focus on depth. Then, I had a managerial round with a really cool and genuine manager who had a lot of experience. He asked about innovations I'd done and about myself and the projects I'd handled, followed by a few behavioral questions. He was satisfied and sent me to meet HR. The HR was very friendly and direct (the same recruiter). We talked about myself, how the interview process went, and discussed salary. She mentioned a final round with the Hiring Resource Manager the next day, as he was on leave. The whole interview process took about 2 hours. Later, on Day 4, I got a call from the hiring manager before business hours for more behavioral questions and salary negotiation. I was happy with the salary after negotiation, even though it was a little less than expected. Then the HR called with the good news that I was selected and I'd get the offer letter the next day. On Day 5, I received the offer letter. Total rounds were 6. The whole process was very smooth and quick. Everyone was genuine, professional, and nice to work with. I think this company will grow a lot soon, so there's potential for good growth here.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What are your reasons for seeking a new job?
- What are your thoughts on compensation?
