First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at OneAdvanced.
Engineer
The interview process was pretty chill and laid back, but there were some technical and competence questions. It was a bit of a weird process overall. You have to complete two of the same aptitude tests, and then a personality quiz. Then, in the final interview, the hiring managers won't have looked at your CV at all, so they don't get biased by what's on it. All the interview stages were very laid back.
- Can you tell us about yourself?
- What do you know about our company?
- We will ask you some technical questions.
Trainee Engineer
I'm a fresher, final year B.tech CSE student. The interview had 5 rounds in total. Round 1 was an aptitude and personality test, which was quite easy. Round 2 was a coding round where I had to solve one coding problem and one debugging problem. The coding question was similar to Leetcode medium - Minimum cost to delete same adjacent characters (Leetcode 1578). Round 3 was a technical interview with two senior engineers, which was a great experience. They asked about OOPS, DBMS, CN, and my code. Round 4, the managerial interview and last elimination round, was the worst. The manager was arrogant and rude, expecting me to know about CI/CD pipelines, AWS lambda, EC2, PL/SQL, NodeJs, and GraphQL. I couldn't satisfy him, and I got rejected. The next round would have been HR to discuss the offer and compensation. My overall experience was bad because of the last round, as they expected too much from a fresher for only 4 LPA CTC. Advice for Management and HR: If you want freshers with industry experience, increase the CTC to attract talent.
- Could you elaborate on your deep knowledge of OOPS, DBMS, SQL, and data structures?
- Have you read about AWS and CI/CD pipelines?
Trainee Engineer
The interview process started with a cognitive assessment that included questions on pattern completion, selecting the odd one out, design matching, and basic English. This was followed by a second round which was technical in nature, featuring MCQs and coding questions in SQL, OOPS, and Java. The third and final round was a technical interview conducted via video call, focusing on OOPS basic concepts with programming examples, SQL queries, and a discussion about my college projects.
- Can you explain encapsulation and provide a program demonstrating it?
- Could you write some SQL queries?
- Basic data structures.
