First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Oncor Electric Delivery.
Truck Driver
The interview process was professional and straightforward. They want to make sure drivers align with the company's high standards and values. If you have at least 3 years of experience, I'd suggest applying here.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
Intern
Had a really nice and fast interview that was mostly behavioral questions, with two technical ones thrown in. You just needed to know basic circuits and be good at talking. I never got a response back, not even a rejection, so I just kept waiting.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
System Operator
The interview process was straightforward and pretty easy, not a lot of tough technical stuff. If you have a basic grasp of electricity and operations, it's a breeze. Since it's a NERC job, you can do some prep by looking into the kinds of questions they ask. They seem really easy to get along with and communicate with.
- Can you explain how to increase voltage?
Construction Manager
There were 2 rounds of interviews. The first round was in person with 2 people, but I didn't get their titles. The second round was online via Webex with the original 2 interviewers plus the director of new construction. The first round was okay, pretty standard. The second round had some issues though: the director didn't show up, and the other two interviewers canceled and rescheduled the interview about 10 minutes in. On the rescheduled interview, the director didn't turn on their camera, which made it feel like I was repeating everything I'd already said to the original interviewers, and there was a grey screen.
