First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Omni Hotels.
Human Resources Coordinator
I had 2 panel interviews. The first was with 2 recruiters, where I waited about 20 mins after arriving 5 mins early. I was seated in a cold loading bay, feeling in the way as employees passed with boxes and linens. The second interview, I waited 10 mins after arriving on time. After talking, they had me wait in the hallway for another 5-10 mins while they 'made sure they didn't have any other questions.' One person said they'd set up a call with the HR director, but they never did. A week later, I got a generic rejection email with my name misspelled. I wish they'd been more respectful of my time and made the experience more welcoming (and warmer literally).
- What makes you want to work in hospitality?
- What's your motivation for wanting to work at Omni?
- Describe your methods for staying organized.
Human Resources Generalist
I met with the HR Manager and the General Manager for my interview. They were both super nice and professional. They asked me about my past work experience and how it fits this job. The manager let me know the next steps soon after the interview.
- What attracts you to Omni Hotels?
Human Resources Coordinator
The onsite interview was pretty simple. I talked to the HR Generalist and the HR Manager one by one, and I got a decent feel for who they were and how they ended up in their positions at the company. Then they asked about my background, including my education, work history, and personal interests in HR. The interview was friendly and chill, but still professional.
- Tell me about a time you had to deal with a challenging employee or coworker.
