Front Desk
The hiring event was scheduled from 11 AM to 4 PM. I arrived at 11:30 AM and signed up. Applicants who hadn't applied online prior to the event were directed to use the provided computers to submit their applications. I was called for my first interview around 12 PM. After passing, I proceeded to another room for a second interview, which I believe was with the head of the front office. She indicated that I was a good fit for the role and forwarded my application to HR. The HR representative then presented me with a contract to sign, along with instructions for an upcoming orientation. As a symbolic gesture, I was given basil seeds and soil to nurture, paralleling the growth of my career with the company. Some applicants, despite completing three interviews, did not receive job offers. My advice is to be authentic and focus on sharing your professional experience rather than personal details, as that's what they prioritize.
- Can you tell me about a time when you delivered outstanding customer service?
- What motivates you to seek employment with our organization?
- Describe your approach to working collaboratively as part of a team.
Front Desk
I had an interview with the HR manager where we discussed general interview questions like my strengths, weaknesses, and my 5-year goals. Then, I had another interview with the front desk managers. They presented me with a scenario to gauge how quickly I could provide a solution.
- What makes you a good fit for this role?
- What would you do if a customer was unhappy with their room and service, complained upon checkout, and requested not to be charged?
Front Desk
I was contacted by phone and had a phone interview that went well. I was called back within a week and a week later; I got an email saying I wasn't offered the job. If a position opens up, they'll contact me. I didn't get there early because of parking issues. That might be why I wasn't offered the position.
- Tell me about problems you've had with supervisors.
