Strategist
I had a phone screening with a recruiter from OMD in LA. Then I went to the office for an hour-long interview with a Media Sup and a Strategist. Following that, a media director from LA interviewed me over the phone. The final interview was a one-hour session with a current Assistant Strategist, another Strategist, and the Group Director. It felt like a long process for an Assistant Strategist role, but I guess it's good they want to make sure it's a good fit. The team seemed great—really smart, resourceful, and they were upfront about it being a job with long work hours. But I didn't accept the offer because the recruiter was incredibly rude when I got it. I thanked her and asked for time to consider, and she just yelled at me, saying immature things like, 'Why?! Do you have other offers?! You need to accept ASAP because we have plenty of other people that would be GRATEFUL to get your offer.' As a recent college grad, I felt that using scare tactics and being so demeaning was unacceptable. That recruiting team was terrible. If the company treats you like that before you even start, why would I accept? Plus, their entry-level pay is very low. I ended up taking another agency's offer for the same role that paid $15k more. Overall, OMD is a known agency to start with if you can handle agency life, but expect long hours and rude recruiters or HR.

Strategist
I applied online. About two weeks later, a recruiter from inside the company reached out via email to set up a quick phone chat. It was pretty chill, mostly just talking about my past work and future goals. After that, they passed my resume along to the hiring teams who were interested in me. I then went in for interviews with those teams. The in-person part took about two hours total. It consisted of four separate 1-on-1 interviews, each lasting around 20-30 minutes. Overall, it was a pretty simple process. The questions were a mix of getting to know me and my personality, and digging into my past experience and what I hope to gain from a new position.

Strategist
I was contacted by an HR manager about a week and a half ago for an interview. I met with some Strategists and Account Directors for about 45 minutes. They all seemed smart and positive about their jobs. I was asked the usual interview questions. The interview went pretty well. They said they'd make a quick decision within a week, but when I tried to follow up, the HR manager ignored me. I still haven't gotten a response to my email, and it's been 3 days.
