Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Omada Health.
Customer Success Manager
It started with a recruiter screen, then I met with the Hiring Manager. After that, there were 3 interviews with the CS team, where I spoke with two people who manage the mid-market team and one peer who also manages high-value accounts.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in Omada?
- Describe your experience within the Healthcare industry.
- Have you ever had to manage a disengaged client? If so, how did you handle it?
Customer Success Manager
This was a really long interview process. It started with a 30-minute recruiter call, then a 30-minute hiring manager chat. After that, there was a peer interview for 30 minutes, followed by a 30-minute meeting with the Head of CS. The first three stages were pretty standard, mostly asking for examples of past experiences. Things got tricky with the final interview, which was a panel interview with 5 people and a case study presentation. They didn't give much detail about what they wanted in the case study presentation, and the format wasn't clear either. They provided a lot of information about Omada and the 'client' and expected us to figure out the presentation approach, making a lot of assumptions about the company and the client. It felt like a lot of unnecessary steps for this kind of job. I got good feedback, except they wanted my presentation formatted differently, but I still didn't get an offer. It seems like they're okay with wasting applicants' time and making them jump through hoops.
- How would you rank client engagement priorities?
- What is an area where you find yourself struggling?
- Can you share an instance of handling a challenging client?
Customer Success Manager
It started with a recruiter call, then a chat with the hiring manager. After that, there were three Zoom meetings with team members and leaders. The last part was a panel interview/presentation. For this, they gave me a situation and I had to show how a pilot program worked for a client and then set up the next steps for expansion. I only had 45 minutes for the presentation and 15 for Q&A. In reality, managing a client like that would take me at least 1.5 hours. It felt like this part was designed for failure with really unclear instructions. I didn't hear back for a while and then got a standard email saying they went with other people. The whole thing took over two months, and the job is already posted again. You can't expect perfection.
- How do you identify clients who are at risk of churning?
