Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Olympus Corporation.
Project Manager
The whole thing took a few months. I had a first interview with the hiring manager, then a second one at the Hamburg office. They did pay for my hotel and travel for the second interview, and people were generally good. But then, after my final interview, they told me they were doing financial planning for next year and weren't sure if they'd even fill the position. So basically, they wasted my time. It's a great company if you enjoy random interview processes.
- Can you tell me about your biggest career accomplishment?
Project Leader
The hiring process is long and tedious, and each hiring manager is different. Typically, it goes like this: first, a phone screen with a talent specialist, then an interview with the hiring manager, followed by an interview with senior management. If you are at a high enough level, you'll interview with the CEO.

Project Manager
The atmosphere was really nice and friendly. They gave me structured info about the company and what the job entails. When I asked about the company structure and the IT setup, I got really detailed answers. It gave me a good sense of the company's vibe and how they approach development.
