Business Operations Manager
The interview went well, and the GM really liked me. The whole process took about a week. They said I didn't need a second interview and offered me an hourly rate, which I accepted. The next step was setting up my training at a different store. After four days of no communication about my training, I reached out. They rescinded the offer because I apparently "failed the assessment" from two weeks prior. I was really upset because I turned down other offers for this role. It's baffling how they only reviewed my test scores after making the offer, especially since I have 6 years of retail management experience and know I'm capable. It’s a shame because the GM believed in me and knew my passion. She mentioned she advocated strongly for me. They really missed out.

Operations Manager
It took about 2 weeks to get a call back from the store manager to come interview for this position I applied for internally. I had all the experience, education, and reviews for this role. The interview started with the store manager asking me why I wasn't using my degree in a more related field. Then we moved on to behavioral questions about situations I'd experienced in the store. She asked about unruly customers, times I went above and beyond in customer service, how many Old Navy cards I had gotten recently, how often I met my card goal, how I would handle an integrity issue, and my strengths/weaknesses based on my latest review. Many questions were about my experiences and how I handled them. She then asked if I had any questions and proceeded to tell me more about her store. She mentioned how particular she is about her staff and values her current team, not wanting to bring in someone who isn't a perfect fit. She made it seem like this interview was just a formality and she had already chosen an internal candidate from her store. She was nice but stated she'd done many interviews and this was just one more.
- What is your history of negatively impacting your store's sales targets?
- Tell me about a time you dealt with an unruly customer.

Operations Manager
Went and introduced myself and got an interview scheduled with the store manager that night. After two weeks passed I got a call for a second interview and interviewed with the assistant manager who was recently promoted to that position from the Operations Manager. Then another two weeks passed and I got another call that I got the job and had the credit check and everything else to look forward to.
- Tell me about a time you missed a deadline and how you resolved it.
