I arrived a bit early and was told to look around while I waited. An employee eventually came up to me and asked if I needed help, then informed me my interviewer was on a call and would be delayed, which I thought was pretty rude. The backroom was a mess when I was finally taken back there. The interviewer asked some general questions about handling unhappy customers, my availability, dealing with dishonest managers or coworkers, and if I was interested in logistics, noting they always need people for that. I said I was interested but needed to confirm the hours. I asked about the dress code and whether the job was more team-oriented or individual. Then, I was asked to greet customers using the Old Navy script, which was tough because it was really slow. The interviewer eventually stopped that, we went back to the room for a bit more chat, and she said I'd hear back within a week since she had more interviews. It's been two weeks with no word, not even a rejection. A friend who works there told me they were firing people around the same time I interviewed, so there probably wasn't even an opening.

So, my first interview at Old Navy just happened. I was pretty nervous because of some reviews I'd read, but it turned out to be a one-on-one with the hiring manager. She was super nice and gave me a lot of info. It felt way more chill than other interviews I've had, which was a relief, but still professional. She went over the job duties and what the company is all about. She asked me about my fashion tastes and why I wanted to work there, and I told her how much I appreciate the modest style of their clothes. She mentioned that TARGET and KOHLS are their main rivals and said I'd be a good fit because I like customer-focused work. I'm supposed to hear back tomorrow about a second interview, which she said will be more in-depth about fashion and my experience.

I applied online and followed up with a phone call to the manager. A week later, I was called to schedule an interview. I couldn't make the initial time, so I asked for a different one, and she scheduled me an hour earlier. On the interview day, I went to the location and was directed to a bench where two other candidates were waiting. The interviewer came out, led us to a disorganized backroom, and had us fill out a paper indicating our available hours. Then, we started the group interview. I felt I answered about 3 or 4 questions well and was much better than the other candidates. She said she'd call on Monday about a second interview, but she didn't. I called later that week, was told to call the next week, and then found out the 20 spots had been filled. She was rude after the interview and didn't follow through on her word.
