First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ogletree Deakins Nash Smoak & Stewart P.C..
Attorney
The interview process was decent and was set up promptly. It involved a panel interview with five Partners asking questions simultaneously. Although some questions were tricky, overall it was a decent questioning experience. Unfortunately, there was no follow-up. The interview was clearly designed to assess how you think and respond to challenging questions.
- How do you approach a case, philosophically?
Attorney
It was a great experience interviewing with multiple shareholders and associates. I enjoyed hearing about their experiences and discussing my own expectations and past legal work. It's really helpful and shows you're serious about this specific firm if you know why you want to work here, whether it's because of their reputation or practice area.
- Given your career stage, what makes you interested in our firm?
Attorney
I had one interview with several partners who interviewed me in shifts. The partners did not all ask the same questions. Some of them seemed a little unprepared for the interview, like they were reading my resume for the first time in front of me.
- Why are you looking for a new opportunity?
