Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ogilvy.
Social Media Manager
Got a call from HR about top-level needs, then talked to my direct boss. They gave me a case study to work on, which I then presented to a panel. It was pretty quick, but I liked that my boss really made an effort to get to know me.

- Could you present a sample pitch presentation?
Community Manager
I had an interview at Ogilvy for a marketing role. The recruiter call lasted barely 10 minutes, which was more than enough to gauge the level of consideration given to candidates. The interview had a tense and closed atmosphere. The recruiter's tone was dry, she interrupted me several times, barely let me elaborate on my answers, and seemed more focused on checking boxes than understanding my background. There was no active listening or constructive exchange. Most shockingly, there was no follow-up afterward. No email, no feedback, even after I followed up. For an agency that claims to be at the forefront of communication, the lack of professionalism is glaring. If this is how they treat talent during recruitment, I can only imagine what it's like internally. Very disappointed with this experience, and honestly relieved I didn't join them.

Community Manager
They called me to learn more about my experience and gave me an English test to move on to the next phase, which was an in-person interview to get to know me more in depth.
- Professional experience?
- How do you define yourself?
- What are your skills?
