Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ogilvy.
Intern
This was a pretty straightforward interview process. Basic prep like researching the company and some of its campaigns should be enough. If it's a technical role, your manager will probably tell you if there's anything specific you need to prep for. For creative roles, it really comes down to your personality, potential, and what you can bring to the table.
- Can you elaborate on your experience with this technical position?
Intern
The whole thing took over 2 months. The first round was super basic and general. They took over 3 weeks to get back to me for the 2nd round. The 2nd round was way more in-depth, asking about my past experiences. It was a bad experience though, the interviewer seemed like he just woke up, didn't seem interested, and didn't really care about what I said.
- Can you describe a time you faced a challenge and how you overcame it?
Intern
First, I had a short phone call with HR to go over the job details and the general aspects of my academic and professional background. After that, I had a video call interview with the department managers. The whole process was smooth and quick, and the colleagues were friendly and approachable.
- What is your academic background?
- Tell me about your professional experience.
- What are your technical skills for this role?
