I talked to a recruiter on the phone who was nice, but kept making a loud racket with her phone next to her keyboard while I was answering questions. I felt I answered well and asked good questions, and she said the Store Manager would call me. Since I have 15+ years of retail management experience, I figured this was a given. Two weeks later, the recruiter emailed saying they went with someone else. The same job was posted again today as 'new,' so I guess the person they hired either quit or got fired.

First, I had a phone call with HR that was pretty informal, just to get a general feel for things. Then, the HR recruiter set up a 1-hour "football" interview over the phone. After that, she mentioned she'd pass my info to the District Manager. About a week later, the training store manager called me, and we met up that same week for a really casual interview. I was told I'd hear from the DM within a week. I did get contacted by the DM, and it was a super chill interview. I assume the next step is a background check and then an offer.

It was a really quick process. The interview happened at a District Office and was handled super professionally. There were two managers there, one from the store and one from the district. They didn't ask anything tricky or strange. They just wanted to get to know me, my background, and see if I'd be a good fit for the team. Overall, it felt really good. The District Office wasn't as fancy as I expected, but the Corporate Offices in Boca Raton, Florida were way more impressive. I felt like all the senior management was really involved and easy to talk to.
