Manager
This interview process involved 4 separate interviews spread out over 4 weeks. I spoke with the store manager, assistant manager, district manager, and then the store manager and assistant manager as a pair. Each interview lasted between 1 to 2 hours. These people are very serious about the company and their management roles. After every interview, I waited 3 days before calling to check on the status. If you want to get into this company, you have to be persistent. If you get the job, there's a 4-week paid training period for outside hires, or 3 weeks if you were promoted from within. Training can be tough because you'll mostly be with the store manager, so expect 5am starts daily. After training, you begin your role at your store.

Senior Manager
Had an annoying phone interview with the recruiter. While they were asking questions, they were typing loudly on their keyboard, making it very hard to focus. It seemed like they didn't want to be on the call and were very stressed, which made me not want to work for the company. I think the first interactions with an employee can give you a good idea of the company culture. The recruiter also mentioned the hiring manager had no time to train anyone, so the new hire needed to start immediately. Since the current employee was leaving that Friday, they needed someone quickly. This felt like poor planning on their part. The whole call was disappointing.
- The recruiter asked confusing questions about hard and soft skills, and I wasn't sure how they wanted me to answer, like decoding a riddle; I'm not sure they understood the difference between hard and soft skills.
Assistant Manager
The interview process was quite drawn out. It began with a basic questions session focusing on behavioral scenarios. My initial interview was with the store manager of the hiring store. Following that, I had to wait a week and travel 40 minutes to interview with another manager at a different store. I was informed that even though I was interviewing with a second manager, they wouldn't be the one making the final decision. Another week passed without any word, so I called the store, only to find out the manager had gone on vacation. Finally, towards the end of the fourth week, I got a call saying the job had been offered to someone else.
- What's your approach to dealing with a very angry customer?
