First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Oceaneering International.
Intern
The first part was with the HR analyst and the second with two people from the sector relevant to the vacancy. It was quite relaxed, focusing on your professional experience, hard and soft skills. In the second part, there's an English test.
- What have been the biggest challenges you've faced in college so far?
Technical Intern
Online, they asked my age and my knowledge in Excel and English. They also asked if I get along well with people and if I am always updating myself. I answered that I have intermediate knowledge in both and am always studying and reading new books and information that can help me.
- Do you have English and Excel skills, as well as PowerPoint?
Mechanical Intern
Met the employer at a campus career fair. They looked at my resume and asked me about my projects. They seemed interested in a lifting system design I worked on and asked me to email them the reports. I haven't heard back from them yet.
- The company is not interested in research that is too theoretical.
