First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ocean Spray.
Marketing Intern
The process was pretty straightforward and took about 1.5 months total. It involved 3 interview rounds: first, an HR screening, then an interview with the hiring manager, and finally with the marketing director. Just a heads up, they can't consider international candidates for this role.
- Which brands do you like the most?
Business Analyst
The interview process was quick, easy, and straightforward. There wasn't a long wait between interviews, and they were clear about what the next steps would be. They also provided feedback on the interview process itself. The style was more conversational, which made it easy to ask questions.
- Could you tell me about a data project you worked on?
Marketing Director
The hiring manager (VP of Marketing) seemed uninterested from the start, making the interview feel awkward. She was late and asked hardly any questions, making it hard to gauge the role's expectations. When I asked about success in the first 30 days, she was dismissive, saying it was an onboarding question. I tried rephrasing for a 30/60/90-day plan, but she stayed closed off and disengaged. The recruiter was also slow and unresponsive, taking a long time to give feedback, which was frustrating. I wasn't surprised not to move forward given the overall tone and lack of openness.
- Can you share your background in innovation?
Finance Manager
The recruiter was nice and communicative, but the whole interview process was way too long. I had 6 interviews and a case study that took over two months. Just when I thought it was over, they asked me to do ANOTHER case study. This really showed me what the company culture is like. After all the time and effort, I turned down the second case study and withdrew my application. It's wild they don't know if they want to hire someone after so many interviews and a case study. If you're applying here, be prepared for a long process.
- Can you calculate 28 times 26 without using pen and paper?
