First, there was a phone interview. If that went well, I was invited for an in-person meeting where I had some basic questions. Passing that led to a driving assessment, which was the last step.

I applied online and got a phone interview in two days. After that, I was invited for a face-to-face interview at the depot. It was easy to find and I got there early. I waited in reception and the interview started about five minutes after the scheduled time because the manager had to take a call. They asked typical interview questions and some specific to the job. I also got to ask the manager some questions. I was told I passed and am now moving on to a driving assessment.

It was about 30 minutes, and they asked a mix of factual, scenario, and motivation questions. They wanted to know things like what I thought the job involved and what I knew about Ocado. The interviewer was trying to type my answers as I spoke but couldn't keep up, so it would have been nice to see what they actually typed.
