The interview process for the Software Engineer Intern position in Las Vegas, USA, lasted about 2 and a half months. It included three interviews: an initial HR call, a technical round with two developers, and a final round with the Hiring Manager. Interestingly, during the technical round, the interviewers seemed unsure of the role, mistaking it for a senior software engineer position. Despite their preparation, they used existing questions not tailored for an intern. The Hiring Manager focused on my projects and work experience, and seemed satisfied with my responses. After two weeks of waiting for feedback, my follow-ups to HR were repeatedly ignored, and they eventually informed me they had chosen another candidate. The HR department's slow response time, even for scheduling interviews, was frustrating, often requiring multiple contacts.

Got a recruiter call first. Then, an online coding test on Codility. After that, an onsite interview which included two technical tests and a chat about my CV and career goals. They also gave us a tour of the automatic warehouse, which was really interesting. The final onsite was a technical interview with a whiteboard and another chat about my background. Step 3 took a full day (morning and afternoon), and Step 4 was just either the morning or afternoon.

After finishing an online skills test, I was invited to an assessment centre. The centre had two separate tests for logic and Java programming. If I passed those, interviews were next, usually on a different day, but sometimes the same day if I came from far away. I had a technical interview where I had to show I understood basic algorithms and data structures. Then, I had two interviews with senior management.
