Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ocado Group.
Risk Management
The initial interview stage involved a pre-recorded video session. A demo was available before you started. You'd be asked 6 questions, and you'd have to audio/video record your answers. Each question had a one-minute time limit, and you had three chances to review and re-record before moving on. After each question, you could review your answer and proceed if satisfied. Once all questions were done, the video uploaded to Ocado. The entire thing took about 30 minutes, depending on your satisfaction with your answers and how many retakes you did.

Demand Manager
This was a quick process. I was interviewed and received an offer within 3 weeks. The interviewers were friendly. They asked relevant questions about my personality and experience to understand how I would fit within the company and the role. If you have the right or similar experience to discuss, the questions weren't difficult. They were very transparent about company values and culture, which is great for someone who might not be willing to take an imperfect role for them.
- Can you discuss your experience with forecasting?
- Can you discuss your experience with suppliers?
- Can you discuss your meeting experience?
Manager
It was a long interview process that didn't feel very focused, as if they were just looking for buzzwords. It was a bit unclear why they decided to have managers interview other managers. The directors didn't seem that competent, more like they had the right degree from the right school with the right accent. Overall, a bit of a strange experience.
