It was a pretty involved interview process. First, I spoke with a recruiter from Corporate. Then, I interviewed with regional management, and after that, with the manager I'd be reporting to directly. This was for the final stage.

Started with a 15 minute phone chat with HR about my background and the job. Then, the clinic manager scheduled another interview. I noticed HR mixed up the time zones, so I had to correct that. The in-person interview happened at a clinic in a rough part of town, where homeless people were sometimes seen sleeping outside, and anyone could hang out in the lobby. The manager asked some basic questions, then a physician joined and interviewed me too. She emphasized documentation and advised against blaming physicians in notes. She also asked how I'd respond if a patient complained about her rudeness. The manager mentioned staff sometimes have to track down ER patients for follow-ups, which sounded odd and unsafe. They also said nurses are responsible for managing appointments, medications, and educating diabetic and hypertensive patients, which I hadn't seen before and seemed outside the usual scope for nurses versus physicians. The whole interview lasted about an hour. They had one more candidate but said I'd hear back from HR within a week, though it's been over two weeks now with no response.

The interview process was long. It was a panel interview where everyone asked me questions about my work history and the projects I contributed to help achieve goals, etc. The people were nice but it felt more like an interrogation than getting to know the candidate. I also had an impromptu interview with HR afterwards and that went well too.
