after the recruiter screener, there were four interviews: with the hiring manager, two other managers like me, and the VP. Oak Street really cares about finding the right fit. They scheduled the interviews really close together, so the whole thing took about 3 weeks.

The interview process started with good conversations with the Recruiter/HR. Then I had a meeting with the Hiring Manager, which felt more like a screening than a proper interview. They asked general questions, not focusing on my actual past experiences. I thought it was just a screening and more interviews would follow. But, I was rejected a few days later. The HM really needs better interview training.

I put in my application online and after about two weeks, I got a call for an initial screen. Then about two weeks after that, I came in for an in-person interview which was pretty long. I talked to 6 different leaders at Oak Street Health, one-on-one. They let me know they were still interviewing other people and that I'd hear back in 2-3 weeks. I actually heard back in about a week and a half and they gave me an offer. That in-person interview was almost 4.5 hours long, definitely the longest I've ever done.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Be yourself and share who you are and what you are looking for. The interviews are a two-way street. They get to know you to see if you're a good fit, and you interview them to see if they're a good fit for you.
