Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at O2.
Sales Assistant
I applied online and then the manager called me for a face-to-face interview. Two days after the interview, I got a job offer. The process was really easy.
- Tell me about a time you managed to upsell extra products.
Sales
Had two interviews with management. It wasn't too tough, mostly just checking if you can talk through your resume and have success stories to back it up. Also, don't be afraid to mention areas where you might need some help, since the teams here are supportive and help each other out.
- Can you discuss your previous roles and responsibilities?
- What challenging situations have you faced, and how did you navigate them?
Sales Assistant
Applied online, got a call 4 days later. Had a brief phone interview with someone, and at the end, they told me the next step would be meeting the store manager. Then I had an interview with the manager in Camden, and he was very unprofessional. I had to do a role play where I would sell a product to the manager, but they were supposed to send me a pack with all the info about the role play before the interview, which they didn’t, so I had to make up my own product and sell it to him. Also, the manager didn’t know what VM is... the interview lasted about 25 minutes. I hated the interview, he didn’t know what he was doing.
- Could you tell me about O2?
