First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at O'Reilly Auto Parts.
Assistant Manager
This involved a lot of different things like maintaining sales reports, doing daily bank deposits, getting up to speed on daily training, stocking shelves, being the front-facing person, answering client questions, visiting accounts, helping with the weekly schedule, and making sure the store was all set for the grand opening.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What job would you choose to do forever if you had the choice?
Assistant Manager
After you apply and take a personality quiz, there's one interview. You'll get hired if you're persistent in wanting a job with this company, especially in the PNW. They do drug tests for driving jobs and background checks, so don't try to trick them if you're not clean; it's a waste of everyone's time. This isn't the place for you if you just want a paycheck. They expect good effort from employees, and so do your coworkers.
- If you aren't good with technology, don't pretend you are. Being honest is always the better choice. Training is available, but it's hard to find the time for it.
Assistant Manager
I was asked a bunch of questions about the job, like how I found out about it, and then a little bit about my past work experience, especially with O'Reilly Auto Parts, and how I'd handle angry customers.
- What value can you bring to our company?
