Had a phone interview where they asked standard questions about my experience and resume, but the follow-ups were a bit strange. After I detailed my responsibilities at a previous job, the interviewer just said 'tell me more.' There were some awkward silences, which might have been on both of us, but I sometimes felt like I was rambling because they didn't ask many or very detailed questions. Overall, it was a weird interview. They said I'd hear about the next steps within a week, but I never did.

A current employee, a Senior Account Executive, passed my resume along. I got an email with instructions to do a writing sample, which was a sample press release. Then, I was offered an interview and told to come in the next week for an in-person interview. I was interviewed by two people, kinda like a peer interview. They asked basic interview questions: strengths, weaknesses, why O'Keefe & Co. The interview went really well. The employee who passed my info along talked to her coworker after and she said it went well too. But, I didn't get a call back. Finally, after a week, I emailed to follow up and was told that even though they really liked meeting me, they decided to go with someone else.

Got contacted a few weeks after applying and had a phone interview that seemed to go well, with a strong hint that an in-person was next. HR reached out about two weeks later for a writing sample (a press release) and then I was asked a few days later to schedule the in-person. At the office, I met with HR, asked her some questions, but she was cagey about salary, asking what I was looking for instead. I then completed another 'test' involving categorizing names/companies, presumably to gauge my understanding of their client types. Following that, I met two peers for what felt like a casual chat. They made the job sound good. After that, two senior employees joined and asked generic, sometimes difficult or irrelevant questions. A week later, I got a standard rejection email, though I appreciated the notification.

The first step was a phone interview that was more in-depth than I anticipated, lasting about 30-40 minutes. The HR person asked me questions that I'd typically expect in a live interview, so be ready. If you pass that, you'll come in for an in-person interview with several people and also have to do a writing exercise.
