Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NV5.
Engineer
I hit apply and then they sent over an email for a video interview over Teams. It felt kinda meh during the interview, you know? They asked some okay questions though. It started with basic behavioral stuff, then went into technical questions that weren't even on my resume, but were in my field of study. Honestly, I wish they were a bit more cheerful, it would’ve made me feel more chill. I can’t tell if I did well or not, still waiting to hear back.
- Why are you interested in this field?
- Could you list some water pollutants?
- Describe how you would treat these pollutants.
Project Engineer
I applied online through their career website. A recruiter reached out to me after a day or two asking for my availability for a phone screen. I emailed her back but I didn't get a response. I sent her a follow up email but she never got back to me.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Commissioning Engineer
I learned a lot during the interview. I applied through an internal referral, and the process was quick and easy. The bosses were welcoming and nice. The interview focused mainly on the job description, and involved sharing experiences about past roles and the current job.
- Could you elaborate on your past experience and share some insights related to this job?
