First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NUVI.
Intern
The interview process was fun and painless. I was pretty nervous going in, but the office is so comfortable that you feel welcome and a little more at ease relatively quickly. The staff is extremely polite and well prepared. As an intern, they gave me a list of departments and potential projects and asked me to rank my interest and ability to complete each project. They were really great about working with me and figuring out how I would best work with them once hired. They asked all the basic questions you would expect - my familiarity with certain programs, why I am interested in Nuvi, my educational and professional background, etc. It was not an intimidating process even though I wanted to perform well. The interview lasted about 20 minutes and I was interviewed by two people, both at the same time.
- What software or organizational programs have you used before?
- What makes you want to work for Nuvi?
- Have you used social media tools like Hootsuite?
Senior Account Executive
Had a phone interview, then went in person. Then I went back for two more onsite interviews, meeting different people each time. They asked general questions about my background and sales experience, including my history selling software and my work ethic.
- What is it about you that makes you stand out?
- Can you tell me about your background?
- Can you walk me through your sales experience?
Account Development Manager
During the interview process, they were really looking for someone who's naturally driven and can perform well independently. I had conversations with Nick, Brandon, and Steve, and they seemed genuinely invested in my career aspirations and recognized the potential contributions I could make.
- Can you share some experiences that demonstrate your ability to stay motivated?
- How have your past sales experiences prepared you for success in this role?
Golang Software Developer
I applied and heard back in about a week. It started with a chat with the HR Director, then a Go and Redis coding challenge. After that, the development manager gave me some tougher coding problems, and the last step was an interview with the CTO.
- Can you write Go code to find the nth largest integer in an unsorted array?
