Workforce Development Educator
Applied and then had a phone screening a few weeks later, which went well. The screener was nice and professional. About two weeks after that, I interviewed with the Manager, which was pretty standard and also went well. Then, two weeks after that, I had my 3rd interview with the Talent Development Strategist. This interview was great; she was professional and personable. She mentioned they were still adding candidates to the pool even though we were 6-7 weeks into the process. It's now been 10 weeks since my initial phone screening and I haven't heard anything back, despite having 3 interviews and being very qualified. The job is still posted. This is my second time interviewing with Nuvance and it's been similar to the first time. I find their hiring process to be really slow, confusing, and demoralizing.

Director of Medical Education
The whole hiring thing was a mess, honestly. First, I had a quick chat with HR, then a talk with the VP. They said I'd hear back within two weeks max. So, about a week and a half later, I followed up. I wouldn't have bothered if the VP hadn't mentioned they were trying to speed things up and expected a 4-6 week hiring timeline. When I finally got the HR person on the line, they basically told me off for reaching out and said they'd contact me when they were ready. That should've been a major warning sign, but I hung in there. Six weeks later, I got a request to schedule four interviews. The timing was really off because I was told they were all 30 minutes, but some ended up being an hour, so I had to rearrange my work. I got a verbal offer in week 10, and expected the written one then. In week 11, they verbally offered me my lowest acceptable salary, ignoring the incentives we'd discussed. When I tried to talk about it, the HR person said it was 'more than they usually offer someone with my experience.' Later that day, they called back to say they were stopping my candidacy. It's a shame. The role has been open for like 2 years, and I totally get why now. It took them 12 weeks, and if it hadn't taken so long, I wouldn't have had three other offers to compare with.
- Can you describe how you handle conflicts that arise between colleagues?
- What makes you interested in Nuvance specifically, compared to other hospital systems?
Talent Acquisition Specialist
I interviewed for about two months, and there were 5 interviews in total. I had to change my work schedule quite a bit for virtual and in-person interview requests. I was told there was one more round, which seemed like a lot considering the questions asked were repetitive. The hiring manager actually quit during this whole process. After that, I reached out twice and didn't hear back for 4 weeks. Then I got an automated email saying they chose another candidate. It was a bad experience overall, and I felt like my time wasn't valued.
- Can you tell me how you would fit into this role?
- How do you plan to meet your hiring targets?
