The interview process is rather classic: first interview with the recruiter. I met Paul who was very efficient and supportive during the whole process. Second interview with the hiring manager. Third interview with the sales Director. Fourth interview is the technical assessment with a SE. Fifth interview is the panel.

It began with a chat with HR, who was upfront about everything. The questions were about my interest in Nutanix and the role. The next day, I got an email that the hiring manager wanted to talk. Four days later, we had our second interview. It went well; I talked about my interest in the company, my background, and skills, and asked some good questions. He confirmed that I was pre-selected and they liked my resume, which was great news. After waiting two weeks with no word, I followed up. They said a decision wasn't made yet. Then, after another follow-up, they told me some team members were on vacation and they needed another week. Finally, about four weeks after the manager interview, I got an email saying they went with another candidate. It was a bummer, especially after it seemed so positive.

It was a 5-step interview process. The first interview was with HR, and the rest were with different team or department members. After each interview, I got feedback and was clearly told what the next steps were. I liked this because I never felt out of the loop or forgotten. They responded really quickly after interviews. I haven't experienced an interview process like this before. They emphasize growth and learning, and many interviewers have been with the company for over 5 years, which is encouraging. It was a really positive interview process, and I wish other companies would adopt this process of providing informative feedback.
