The interview process was great. It started with one telephone interview and then a Zoom call with the hiring manager. They made a prompt hiring decision and the application, background check, and hiring process were all easy. It was a smooth process from start to finish.

The process was pretty good and moved fast. The first call was with a recruiter, straight to the point asking about me and what I like, not like a typical scripted call. Then, a 30-minute chat with the hiring manager, which was a good, engaging conversation mostly about university recruitment stuff. After that, the final stage was about 3 hours with an interview panel. The people were great, but it felt a bit like going through the motions with some behavioral and get-to-know-you questions. There wasn't much focus on the product, cloud infrastructure, at all. The recruiter was a bit hands-off, with short email replies and not much prep advice. I'd expect a recruiter to be closing and following up at each stage to see where I'm at with this role and others. That 'always be closing' approach was missing. This led to some confusion after the final interview about whether I dropped out or was unsuccessful. Only one generic feedback sentence was given.

Behavioral Technical

I applied through mom project and my resume was selected. The Hiring Manager conducted the first round, which went well, covering my overall experience and general recruitment questions. The second round was with the Technical Recruiter. She was quite rude, stating my profile wasn't up to Nutanix standards before asking anything and that she didn't think I'd fit. Even when I tried to explain my background and skills, she asked me to write a boolean string for a single keyword with incomplete information, insisting I didn't fit Nutanix and ending the call 10 minutes early. It was a humiliating and disappointing experience, and I wouldn't recommend this company.
