It was a one-step interview, very straightforward. Since it was an entry-level position, they didn't ask anything too technical. The interviewers were friendly, and it felt more like a conversation than an interview.

I applied on LinkedIn and was contacted via email for an interview with the general manager. There was no initial screening call. The interview was at the North York office with the hiring manager/GM. He asked a question about my personal life, like if I'm married or have kids, which I found unprofessional and potentially biased. He then mentioned a second interview the following week where I'd need to prepare a sales scenario to present to him and two other managers. They would challenge my pitch. I found this assignment unusual, though I've done sales assignments before. We also discussed salary, and the base pay for the energy industry seemed very low, which made me lose interest.

After applying for the job, I got a call back about four months later. They mentioned they decided not to move forward with a second shift, but there was an opening for the first shift, which worked out better for me. They set up an interview and told me where to go. During the interview, I had to fill out an application and then waited for about 30 minutes. A supervisor came in, gave me a quick overview of the company, and mentioned they might be moving buildings. Then, they asked a few questions about my ability to do the job, and I confirmed I could. Next, I took a data entry test on the computer, which is crucial for getting the job. The supervisors reviewed my test, and one offered to let me retake it if I didn't score well enough, which they said they aren't normally supposed to do. They thought I would pass and sent my test to upper management. I was told I'd hear back and got a job offer a little over a week later, which I accepted. The office environment is open with no cubicles, so you can hear everything, which might not be ideal if you need quiet. It felt a bit crowded, but the people seemed friendly initially.
