My recruiter was pretty condescending. I wasn't prepared for the questions since I normally don't prepare for a full interview on a screening call. The recruiter mentioned the next steps would have been a 30 minute phone call with the hiring manager and a virtual onsite with 4 panelists. The recruiter revealed she wasn't interested in me at the end of the convo saying, 'let me talk to my hiring team and we'll get back to you.' For those who don't know, there's no hiring team that makes these decisions; we make decisions on a screening call. The rejection email was sent on Monday night, after the call on Friday. If I hadn't known what that meant, waiting all weekend for an automated rejection email would have been extremely unpleasant.

I was contacted on LinkedIn about a Recruiter position at Nuro. I was interested because it's Nuro, so I scheduled a call with a Recruiter. I thought it would be an introduction to the company and the role, or maybe about the Recruiter herself, but the Recruiter immediately started asking questions. She spoke very quickly, almost like a robot. The call was about 15 minutes, and I didn't get much information about the job. A day or two later, I got a standard rejection email. Glad it was over, because it wasn't a good experience from a candidate's point of view.

The interview process was efficient and pleasant. I had my first phone interview with one of the recruiters about the role, my experience and expectations. The second round was with 4 managers/leads via Google Meet. I really enjoyed all my conversations with them was excited to potentially be part of their team.
