I applied online and then a recruiter got in touch. She was nice and asked about my background before setting up a 45-minute technical interview. The technical interview itself was a bit of a letdown because we went straight into a coding question without any small talk or introductions. They didn't even ask about my background, which felt odd for an embedded systems role – like, shouldn't they care how my experience relates? Anyway, the interviewer was helpful and gave hints, but the question felt like something you either know or you don't, and I guess I need more LeetCode practice, though not all embedded interviews are like this.

Overall a pretty positive interview process. It had an HR screening, a technical-ish call with an engineer, an online assessment, and then a virtual onsite. One interviewer during my onsite was unfriendly and not helpful when I was struggling with a question. Other than that everyone was super professional.

The entire hiring process spanned approximately 5 weeks. Initially, there was a phone screen with a recruiter. Following that, an online assessment (which wasn't specifically embedded-related) was administered. Next, another phone screen occurred with the hiring manager, and feedback from the recruiter was provided to help prepare for the onsite interviews. The onsite portion consisted of three interviews. Finally, there was a concluding chat with the hiring manager. The process itself was quite smooth, and the recruiter offered considerable assistance, making it feel like the company was invested in the candidate's success. It was, in fact, one of the most positive interview experiences I've had.
