Senior Program Manager
Got a message from HR on Sunday and by Monday 10am, I had a meeting set up with the hiring manager. Then for about 8-10 days, it was radio silence, no updates even after I sent a few emails. On the 11th day, I got an invite from the hiring manager for another round, but with no details on what to expect. I did the interview with a team member, but the hiring manager wasn't there. After that, again, radio silence. I just gave up after waiting for 10 days. It was a really bad interview process, felt like they didn't care about the candidates or their time.
- Can you describe the most challenging project you've managed?
Principal Program Manager
I had a video interview with the hiring manager, who doesn't have an IT/IS background. Then, I had another video interview with the hiring manager's colleague. This colleague asked behavioral questions that seemed more suited for junior candidates. They also asked me to do a presentation about a scheduling conference scenario, but I declined because it felt like a junior-level task.
- Did the hiring manager's colleague ask you any behavioral questions, and if so, were they appropriate for a junior-level candidate?
Program Manager
The interview process was great. It was all done remotely through phone and skype. Everything was super organized, fast, and informative, and felt like a real conversation. They made sure to clearly explain what would happen next at every stage and gave accurate timelines for when things would be done.
- Do you have any concerns about traveling domestically or internationally?
