Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NTUC Fairprice.
Cashier
The interview was easy and conducted via video call. They confirmed the timing and other details beforehand, so there were no surprises. The interviewer asked about my preferred locations, my experience, and my availability. They also explained the job details and reporting times.
- What job locations do you prefer?
- Can you share some of your previous job experience?
Cashier
The interview was chill. They mainly asked about my availability and the hours I could work. I interviewed for a part-time role, so maybe that's why it was easy. Another nice thing was that they also asked about a convenient location, so they could place me there.
- Have you done this role before?
Cashier
I asked to be placed at the Finest outlet because I had worked part-time there before. However, the interviewer ended up assigning me to the Whitesand Fairprice outlet as a full-time position. I initially thought Whitesand was a Finest outlet, but upon checking, I realized it was Fairprice. I tried to contact the interviewer for clarification, but she didn't provide her number. I emailed HR, but received no response until the first day of training. They then emailed saying it was too late and told me to proceed if I was uncomfortable or unhappy with the arrangement.
- Where would you prefer to work?
