& Process

Applied online and heard back from HR a few weeks later. The next day, the director wanted to chat over the phone, and the following week, I went in for an in-person interview. The phone interview was the most technical, covering techniques, past projects, and current skills. During the in-person interview, I met with HR, two directors, and two other analysts. They asked about my background, some technical questions, my expectations, and requested more details on specific resume items. It seemed like the in-person interview was mainly to confirm my fit with the company and team, and to ensure my interest after learning more. Everyone was very friendly and helpful with my prepared questions.

I was contacted by a recruiter and decided to chat just to see what was up. The recruiter explained the role and company well, and it sounded interesting. I was excited about the tech stack, though I'm a bit short on experience there. She set up a call with the manager, which happened fast. We had a good talk, he was sharp. The recruiter followed up and was upfront about the experience gaps, so we decided to reconnect in 6 months. I was impressed with the company and the straightforward process and would consider Ntrepid later.

The interview process felt unfair and biased. The design question was how to design an elevator control system. They did not like my approach. Despite my explanations, I was later told I did not have enough design experience, which felt inconsistent with how the discussion went. It was frustrating to have my qualifications judged in this way, especially by someone without a technical background.

I got referred to Ntrepid by an employee there. First, I talked to the Ntrepid talent recruiter on the phone. After that, I had three Teams interviews with people from the marketing, training, product, and sales teams. Each of these video interviews lasted about 45 minutes.
