The interview process involved many questions, some technical and some not. It was a good experience overall, though I never received an update. I appreciated that they disclosed the fixed salary upfront with no negotiation.

The interview process drags on for ages. If you do make it through, they expect you to come in for a full day of unpaid work, which was super awkward and exhausting. They take so long to make a decision that by the time they told me, I had already taken a much better job, thankfully. Also, the pay is really bad for South Florida. I would never work here after that. Go work for a different college instead.

It's a long process, so if you need a job right away, this might not be the best place to apply. There are many steps and requirements for the University to meet before you can be hired. Even after they close the position, it usually takes about 2 months (if they even decide to hire you).

Behavioral Presentation

This was honestly one of the smoothest interview processes I've been through. I was contacted for an interview and given a few days to prep. They gave me a general idea of what the interview would be like, and the interviewers were really nice, actually listening to me talk about my experience and qualifications. I got a phone call for a second interview shortly after, and again, they let me know what to expect and gave me plenty of time to get ready. The hiring manager kept me in the loop about my application and offered me the job within a week of the second interview. The manager also said I could reach out with more questions and they were quick to respond. If they needed to check with someone else, they'd let me know when I could expect to hear back, and they stuck to that timeframe.

  • What makes you want to work for NSU?
  • What motivated your choice for this particular position?
