Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Novo Nordisk.
Scientist
The interview process involved a screening interview, followed by a technical interview with a team of scientists, and then an HR interview. Everything was pretty straightforward and friendly. Since I interviewed during COVID, the entire process was conducted over Teams. I imagine it would have been in-person after COVID, which would have been nice to get a feel for the workplace.
- Could you discuss the scientific work you have conducted?
- Do you think you would be a good culture fit for the team?
Senior Scientist
The interview process had 3 rounds. It started with an HR phone call, followed by a meeting with the hiring manager, and then a confirmed panel interview. Unfortunately, the whole team didn't show up on the scheduled interview date. I tried reaching out to HR via phone and email but got no response. Shortly after, I found out through LinkedIn that someone was hired for the same position and location a few days prior. I'm not sure if it's related, but any notification would have been courteous. I dedicated days to preparing slides and content, and even used my PTO for this.
- Behavioral and technical questions were asked in the first two rounds.
Chemist
It was a good overall experience, the atmosphere was nice and inviting. But they made me do some tough personality and intelligence tests, and then interviewed me about the results. I found it pretty annoying and stressful, and think it could have been avoided.
- Can you tell us about your experience?
- What can you tell us about your personality?
