Sales Representative
The interview process centered around assessing your personal map, understanding competitive market insights for the territory, and evaluating a business case presented with a territory plan. It involved many challenging questions alongside collaborative input. There were multiple touchpoints and several stakeholders involved throughout the follow-up and interview stages.
- How would you make use of a private plan?
- How to leverage a private plan?
DSA II
So there were 4 rounds in total. The first two rounds were online tests. The first online test had around 25 MCQs, and the second round had 6 questions focused on reasoning. The next two rounds were face-to-face interviews, which were quite difficult and included technical questions, so you really need to be prepared for those.
- Can you tell me about PV?
- What do you know about the company's products?
- Here are some logical questions for you.
Sales
After applying, I was contacted by a Novo recruiter. Before our call, I had to complete a questionnaire that seemed like a generic prescreening form, phrased from the interviewer's perspective, as if they didn't want to ask the questions themselves. The phone call was easygoing, though the recruiter didn't seem very knowledgeable about the specific role or territory. I overlooked this because I know how great the company is. He said he'd recommend me to the hiring manager. An HR employee then called to arrange a flight to Chicago for the meeting with the hiring manager. I flew out for what was supposed to be a two-hour interview: the first hour with a senior rep and a manager, the second with the hiring manager. However, I got an email saying it changed to an hour with all three of them. The interview was set for 2:45 pm at the O'hare Hilton. I got to O'hare at 1 pm, had lunch, and waited in the lobby as my only instruction was to meet them there. 2:45 came and went, and by 3:00 pm, I was a little worried since interviews can run over. As the last interview of the day, I figured it added up. I called both the recruiter and HR. The HR rep finally answered, apologized, and contacted the hiring manager, who emailed back they were finishing up and he'd be down soon. Around 3:15 or 3:20, the hiring manager arrived. He apologized, and I said I understood, but I was concerned about my 5:05 pm flight and didn't want to feel rushed. The interview itself was straightforward and went well, and I got positive feedback. They did ask me at the end to sell an iPhone against a Blackberry.
- We are a sales management team and you are an iPhone sales rep. We use Blackberry, sell us on the iPhone.
