I interviewed for two different PE II positions in separate months and the experience was identical both times. It was a pretty standard interview where the engineering manager and 1-2 teammates asked STAR questions. Nothing too technical, they just wanted to make sure I was familiar with the engineering mindset. Here's the catch: in both cases, a lot of candidates were interviewed over the course of a month for the same opening. Because of this, I was told not to expect a decision (for both positions) for at least a month. For a company as established as Novo, that's an unacceptable wait.

The interview experience was great. Although I didn't get the internship, the interviewers at the Clayton API site were personal and intimate. It was clear they loved their jobs, their company, and wanted to contribute. The atmosphere and people were great.
