The interview process for the Process Control Engineer role involved an initial video interview with the hiring manager, lasting about 45 minutes. During this meeting, the manager inquired about my experience in heavy industry, as well as the physical and technical demands of the position. They also provided an overview of the company's products and operational processes. Although the interview itself went well, I was not extended an offer because the position was filled by an internal candidate.

I talked with people from different locations, and they were really friendly and open. It felt pretty relaxed. They started off by asking about my hobbies and what I like to do in my free time. I didn't get an offer because I don't have enough experience yet.

I got a call to set up an interview day. Then I got an email confirming the interviewer's name. On the interview day, one interviewer came into the room with his laptop, and it turned out another interviewer was going to talk to me via video call on that laptop. The interviewer on the laptop didn't even turn his camera on, which was disrespectful. A third interviewer joined a bit after the interview started and seemed completely clueless. He hadn't even looked at my resume, and his English was very poor. This third interviewer started talking about his own work to the other interviewer as if I wasn't there, and he even brought up some office politics, which I think was his way of trying to get a reaction out of me. He didn't even stay for the whole interview. The interview took place in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. My advice to anyone interviewing with this company, especially for process engineering, is to lower your expectations. I suspect they already decided to hire a relative or someone they know, which is quite common here in Saudi Arabia. Honestly, the whole thing was a mess.
