First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.
Manager
I applied online and had a phone screen with HR. Then I had a phone interview with the hiring manager. Finally, there was a loop of four in-person interviews, which included the hiring manager and the VP.
- What do you find exciting about the cruise industry?
Restaurant Manager
The interview process was quite thorough, lasting about three hours for the initial meeting. This included an explanation of the company and a one-on-one interview. After that, it took about a week to receive an offer via email. The subsequent hiring process spanned five months and involved extensive checks: background check, credit check, three physicals, criminal records, and DMV background. I was responsible for obtaining all this information at no cost to me. Looking back, I'm glad it was such a detailed process.
- Tell me about your ability to manage interactions within large groups.
- How do you perform in a team setting?
Management Trainee
The interview process wasn't extremely difficult. You complete a phone screen with the hiring manager first before moving on to speaking with the director of the program in person. You then complete a presentation pertaining to the cruise industry onsite before meeting with the SVP of Human Resources. The interview process was completed within two weeks and not very stressful. In regards to the final presentation, they give you a list of topics from which to choose before giving you about 48 hours to prepare for your onsite.
